CLAT 2022 – The Consortium of NLUs will conduct CLAT 2022 entrance exam on June 19, 2022  (2-4 pm) ( rescheduled from May 8). The consortium has also extended the last date for submission of the CLAT 2022 application form to May 9 (from March 31). Applications commenced on January 1, 2022.

Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria can fill out the CLAT application form 2022. UG applicants with minimum 45% marks in 10+2, and PG applicants with 50% marks in graduation are eligible to apply for admission; relaxation in qualifying marks applies to reserved category candidates. CLAT 2022 exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode, include MCQs, and will be of 2 hours duration. Questions will be asked from five topics – English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quants. Candidates appearing in the exam need to follow the subject-wise syllabus and important topics to secure a good rank and get admission into a top NLU.

CLAT scores will be used for admission to 5-year LLB and one-year LLM courses offered by participating NLUs. 

What is CLAT?

The national-level Common Law Admission Test (or CLAT) is conducted by the Consortium of NLUs for admission to 5-year integrated LLB (UG) and one-year LLM (PG) courses offered by 22 participating NLUs. Currently, UG courses are offered by all 22 NLUs, while PG courses are offered at 19 NLUs.    

Apart from the NLUs:

  1. There are 61 other private affiliate colleges that accept CLAT exam scores. 
  2. Some public organizations such as ONGC and BHEL use CLAT-PG scores for recruitment

Counseling

Candidates will be shortlisted for counseling based on their CLAT 2022 scores.

– The number of candidates invited will be five times the number of available seats in each category.

The consortium has 22 participating NLUs that will only accept CLAT scores for admission to 5-year LLB and one-year LLB courses.

  • In addition, there are 61 affiliate colleges that will offer admission on the basis of CLAT scores.

CLAT 2022 Application Form

The process to fill CLAT 2022 Application Form is mentioned below. 

  • Go to the official website of the Consortium of NLU’s. 
  • Start the application process through the official website. 
  • Enter the email address and phone number for registration. 
  • After validating the number, log in to the site using the phone number and password.
  • Enter the information carefully and check before going to the submit button.  
  • Pay the required amount of application fees through the online mode by using the payment portal of Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI
  • Upload the important documents. 
  • Click on the Submit button. 
  • Take a printout of the same. 

CLAT 2022 Application Fees

  • CLAT Application Fees must be paid through the online mode using their payment portal. 
  • CLAT Application Fees are not refundable under any circumstances.

CLAT Eligibility 2022

The consortium has released the updated eligibility criteria of CLAT 2022 for admission to 5-year LLB and LLM courses on its official website. These criteria include parameters like academic qualification, minimum marks, age limit, etc.

CLAT 2022 Result

CLAT 2022 Result will be released online on the official website which can be accessed by following the below mentioned steps. 

  • For viewing CLAT Results, candidates must click on the link “Result” on the official site, which will be available after CLAT Results Declaration.
  • Following this, click on the tab “View Result” 
  • After that log in to the site using your phone number and password. 
  • After releasing CLAT Result 2022, candidates will receive a provisional admission to an NLU. Based on preference and merit rank secured in CLAT 2022. 
  • On the website, a merit list containing the name of the colleges will be released on the official website. And it will be placed under the “Result” tab. 

CLAT 2022 Counselling

Given below are the step-by-step instructions to register for CLAT Counselling.

  • Step 1: Go to the official website and check the merit list of shortlisted candidates for CLAT 2022 Counselling
  • Step 2: Through the online mode, enter the preferences for NLU and can choose 6 NLU. 
  • Step 3: Pay the prescribed application fee online at the portal. 

After the completion of the process given above, Seat Allotment Results will be released by the concerned authority and after that, all the shortlisted candidates need to confirm their seats. Shortlisted candidates will have 3 options:

  • Accept/Lock the seat.
  • After accepting the seat, candidates need to upload the required documents.
  • After that candidates must pay their admissions fee to the allotted college.
  • Candidates must submit all the important documents and pay the requisite amount to the NLU
  • Exit admission process
